Recommended Thawing Instructions

Place bagged turkey in refrigerator allowing approximately 8 hours for each 5 pounds of weight.

Cooking Instructions

Remove bird from bag. Remove giblets and neck from turkey. Rinse and pat dry. Season to taste. Set oven or roaster at 325 degrees. Roast approximately 15 minutes per pound for unstuffed bird. Add 1 hour to recommended cooking time if turkey is stuffed. If roasting uncovered, baste frequently with melted butter or broth. Turkey is done when meat thermometer inserted in deepest part of breast reads 180 degrees. (Cooking times can only be approximate as turkeys vary from one to another due to conformation, ect. home ovens may also vary in accuracy.)

Thanksgiving 2003
"We purchased two turkeys for our Thanksgiving dinner; one frozen, the other a fresh Red Bird Fresh Turkey. There was no comparison! After roasting, the previously frozen turkey was very dry. The Red Bird was extremely moist and juicy. It was incredible! Even the Red Bird leftovers tasted moist and juicy. Our holiday turkeys will always be Red Bird Turkeys."
